Evening Blessing

The Evening blessing
from The Small Catechism

I give thanks to you, heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ your dear Son, that you have graciously protected me today. I ask you to forgive me all my sins, where I have done wrong, and graciously to protect me tonight. Into your hands I commend myself: my body, my soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel be with me, so that the wicked foe may have no power over me. Amen.

Then, Martin Luther advises, you are to go to sleep quickly and cheerfully.

ELW

The Council has approved a plan to gradually acquire copies of Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW), the official worship book of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Once we get an adequate supply, we might consider ways to shorten the Sunday bulletin.

The books cost $22.50 each and can be purchased for personal use at home or for use here at the church. They can be designated to be in honor or in memory of loved ones. Please speak with Pastor Bob or a Council Member for further info. Pastor will bring his copy each week for you to peruse.
